112學年度學士班新生申請「語文通識-大學英語文課程」抵免或免修注意事項

本校112學年度新生欲辦理「語文通識-大學英語文課程」抵免或免修者,請詳閱以下申請注意事項

 

1.本校日間部學士班新生持校外英語檢定成績符合抵免或免修條件之一,限入學當學年且為本中心規定之時間內完成申請。


2.辦理時間:
112-1學期:
(1)線上申請至112年9月3日止,請至學生資訊系統上傳證明文件影像檔。
(2)紙本申請至112年9月14日前止,請攜帶證明文件至語言中心(人文大樓3樓308室)辦理。
112-2學期:限紙本申請
113年2月20日至113年2月29日止及113年6月1日至7月31日止。

 

已分班之同學欲於112-2學期辦理抵免或免修自113年2月20日至113年2月29日止(上學期已申請之同學,下學期無須再申請),逾期則不予受理。
下學期辦理「免修」之學生,上學期所修習之「大學英文」課程,其學分不列入畢業學分內,仍需依所屬學系規定補足4學分之課程。

 

3.應備文件:紙本申請
(1)達抵免及免修條件者填寫申請書連同有效期限在三年以內之英檢證明文件直接向語言中心(人文大樓3樓08室)提出申請。
(2)經核准抵免「語文通識-大學英語文」之學生,將採計4學分為畢業學分。
(3)經核准免修「語文通識-大學英文」之學生,因畢業總學分數維持不變,應由各學系自行規定加修系內或系外共4學分之課程,並將其採計為畢業學分,以補足各學系畢業應修學分數之要求。

 

4.已持校外英檢證明辦理通過抵免(但不包含持大學指考成績者)或免修之學生,無須再辦理外語能力指標檢核認證及不得於事後要求取消資格。


5.因「語文通識-大學英語文課程」免修後之學分由各學系自行規定加修系內或系外4學分之課程,系統無法判別同學用哪一門課程作為抵修,此外註冊組審核畢業學分時程為四年級下學期且用成績單審核,因此系統上「外文/外語聽講練習」的紅色旗子是會一直存在的。若同學不確定是否已達到畢業學分要求,本中心建議同學向所屬學系助教詢問會比較清楚。


註:
1.以上辦法均不適用於本校應用外語學系學生,其相關辦法由應用外語系另定之。

4.不管以何種方式申請審核,若資料準備或填寫不齊全,恕本中心不予辦理。

Credit Transfer and Exemption for General Education: College English Courses (Academic Year 2023/2024)


1.Incoming first-year students (day programs) with original English proficiency certificates which fulfill one of the standards may apply for the credit transfer or exemption of General Education: College English Courses. Applications must be completed within the Academic year of admission to National Taipei University before the deadlines announced by the Language Center.


2.The time frames for applications are as follows:
The First Semester of the Academic Year 2023/2024—
(1)Online applications are accepted until September 3rd. Please upload image files of the supporting documents to Student Informational System.
(2) For paper-based applications, the deadline is September 14th. Please bring the supporting documents to the Language Center (Humanities Building, 3rd floor, Room 308) for processing.

The Second Semester of Academic Year 2023/2024(For paper-based applications only)—
From February 20 to February 29, 2024 and from June 1 to July 31, 2024

 

Students who have completed the application in the first semester of the Academic Year 2023/2024 do not need to apply again.

 

For students who have been given course exemption of College English courses in the second semester and completed the two-credit College English course in the first semester, the two credits will not be officially listed as graduation credits. Hence, the students will need to take other courses with four credits to fulfill the graduation requirements of their departments.

 

3.Required documentation
(1)Applicants who meet the criteria for credit transfer of College English courses and complete the application through the Language Center will be granted four credits as part of graduation credits.
(2)Applicants who meet the criteria for course exemption of College English courses and complete the application through the Language Center should take four credits of elective courses as required by their departments to fulfill the graduation requirements.

 

4.Students who have been granted credit transfer or exemption with an original English proficiency test certificate (excluding those using the result of their Advanced Subjects Test for College Entrance) do not need to apply for foreign language proficiency verification afterward and cannot request a withdrawal of the credit transfer or exemption.

 

5.Once a student has been exempted from College English courses and needs to take alternative courses to gain four credits to fulfill the department’s graduation requirements, the student should contact their department office for final confirmation.
Please note that the red-flag signal next to ‘Foreign Language Listening/Speaking Course’ will remain on the Student Information System before the Registrar at the Office of Academic Affairs verifies a student’s graduation requirements during the second semester of the fourth academic year.

1.All the above-mentioned regulations are NOT applicable to students of the Department of Foreign Languages and Applied Linguistics.
