111學年度校內英語分級測驗說明

一、 說明

1. 本校規定日間部學士班必修「語文通識-大學英文」課程4學分。
2. 修習「語文通識-大學英文」課程者，除已持校外英檢成績申請【抵免】或【免修】外〈申請時間111年9月15日前〉，皆須參加「校內英語分級測驗」。
3. 凡參加「期初校內英語分級測驗」(本次測驗採Toeic考題)，成績達本校抵免或免修條件者，亦可【抵免】或【免修】「語文通識-大學英文」課程4學分，但【免修】者需補足各學系畢業應修學分數之要求。
4. 學生符合以上第3款條件者無須到本中心辦理「語文通識-大學英文」課程抵免或免修申請，本中心會自動將結果轉入成績單(轉入時間為一年級下學期結束後) 。
5. 「期初校內英語分級測驗」成績未達免修條件者，由語言中心依測驗結果編排「大學英文」之上課班級，編班完成後上課班級無法異動，同學亦無須自己選課。
6. 凡未參加「期初校內英語分級測驗」或未持校外英檢成績申請【抵免】或【免修】者，則一律不得修習「語文通識-大學英文」課程，請於下一學年度自行登記補修「語文通識-大學英文」課程，不再另行公告。
7. 「期初校內英語分級測驗」因委外辦理無法辦理補考，任何理由(含生病)之遲到或缺席皆視同放棄，請同學務必準時應試。
8. 應試時請攜帶身份證或其他附照片之證件、2B鉛筆、橡皮擦。
9. 答案卡劃記錯誤、不清楚或污損答案卡等而影響讀卡作業者，一律不予計分，其對成績之影響，由該生自行負責。
10. 有關本校大學英語文課程抵免或免修條件，請參考「國立臺北大學英語文課程抵免及免修辦法」。並隨時注意語言中心、學生資訊系統首頁、學校網頁之公告，各項資訊以最新公告為準。

二、對象（日間部學士班）

1. 日間部學士班新生(含僑外陸新生)
2. 測驗日期：111年9月6日(二)
3. 各學系測驗時間及地點將於8月中旬公告於學校網頁及語言中心網頁。
4. 測驗成績未達抵免或免修條件者，依語言中心公告或選課系統中所編排的班級至該班上課，不得任意換班。
   
   

**本測驗不發任何官方證明。

Description of English Placement Test of Academic Year 2022

A. Description

1. The University requires day school bachelor program students to take the "Language General Education: College English" course for 4 credits.
2. Students who are to take the course of "Language General Education: College English" must take the English Placement Test administered by the Language Center at the beginning of the first semester of the said academic year, unless the students have applied for credit transfer or credit exemption (or waiver) with a score report issued by an official testing institute. (the application deadline is September 15th, 2022).
3. Students whose English Proficiency Test scores have met the criteria set by the University may be granted the said credits or be exempted from taking the course of "Language General Education: College English" with the total of 4 credits. However, students who are given the waiver of the course must complete additional credits to meet the requirement for graduation mandated by their departments.
4. Students who meet the criteria set in Subparagraph 3 listed above do not need to apply for a credit transfer or a credit exemption (or waiver) for the course of "Language General Education: College English" at the Language Center. The Language Center will grant the results onto their academic transcripts (such results will appear on the students' transcripts after the end of the second semester in their first academic year).
5. If students' scores in the university-administered English Proficiency Test do not meet the criteria for an exemption (or waiver), the Language Center will place the students into such a class based on their test results. The placement cannot be changed, and students will not be permitted to make their selections in the Course Enrolment System.
6. Without taking the English Placement Test administered at the beginning of each academic year or receiving 【credit transfer 】or 【exemption (or waiver)】 using their score reports from an external official English Proficiency Test, the students will not be allowed to take the course of "Language General Education: College English." Students should pay attention to such deadlines, and no further announcements will be made.
7. The English Placement Test is outsourced, so make-up tests will not be offered. Students will be deemed as having forfeited such a right for this test if they are late or absent for any reason (including any illness). The students need to make sure to be on time for the test.
8. For this test, please bring a ID card or other photo ID, a 2B pencil, and an eraser.
9. No points will be granted if incorrect or unclear markings or stains on the answer card affect the card reader, and the students shall bear full responsibility for such effects on their test results/scores.
10. Please refer to the National Taipei University Regulations for English Language Course Credit Transfer and Waiver for the standards The updates of the regulations will be posted on the web pages of the Language Center, the Student Information System and the University website’s bulletin board.
    
    

B. Subjects (Day School Bachelor Programs)

1. Day School Bachelor Program Freshmen (including overseas Chinese students, students from China, and foreign students)
2. Test Date: September 6th, 2022 (Tue)
3. The examination time and venues of each department will be announced on the University website and Language Center's web page in mid-August.
4. Students whose test scores do not meet requirements for credit transfer or waiver must take the class they are assigned to according to the Language Center's announcement or Course Selection System, and may not change their class without permission.
   
   

**No official certification is issued for this test.

Please contact the teaching assistant at your department, Registration Section, Curriculum Section, and Language Center to apply for credit transfer or waiver of the College English course in accordance with relevant regulations (see the URLs below) to avoid affecting your rights and progress with graduation credits.
